Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Hope this letter finds you and your family doing well. We've had a fabulous 2010 full of many blessings! We are excited to see what awaits our family for the New Year! Instead of a long, lengthy letter, I'd thought you'd enjoy our TOP 10 Moments of 2010.

10 - Enjoying the beautiful Colorado sun, thunderstorms, tornado warnnings and of course lots of snow

9 - Spending hours and months searching and applying for jobs....we're hoping and praying we get one very soon!

8 - Family vacation to Rocky Mountains with Aunt Alison and Uncle Ryan. Renting a cabin, playing in the snow and carving out a huge sledding hill!!! It was so much fun and I can't wait to go again sometime

7 - Purchasing a Honda Oddyssey Van! With the addition of a third child, our little accord wouldn't quite fit the crew. We were lucky to find a great deal and I absolutely LOVE it!

6 - Stacey organizing a community summer service project and spending nearly every Saturday at the community garden...prepping, planting, weeding, harvesting and serving! It was an amazing experience! (Silo Park Garden Project)

5 - Taking a road trip to Arizona during the summer to see family, friends and eat yummy food! It was a short but great vacation!

4 - Jace turning 5, starting Kindergarten, playing on his first soccer team, making his first lemonade stand

3 - Camden turning 2 and into the "terrible twos," but also talking, tackling and tossing. (this kid has an arm)

2 - Heath graduating with two Master's Degrees from the University of Colorado!! One in Urban and Regional Planning and the other in Urban Design. He and I are both thrilled!!! Yipee!!!

drum rolll...............................And the #1 Moment of 2010....................wait for it......................................

1 - Welcoming our sweet baby girl Mazie Jaelyn into our family! We just adore her and are so lucky to have her in our lives. The boys can't love on her enough.

As much as I'd like to say, go look at our blog, for more updates in our lives, I unfortunately haven't been good at keeping that up to date. My apologies. I hope to do better in 2011 so I can capture the many great and meaninful moments in our lives. We should know in the next couple months where we'll end up! We are thankful to have such great family and friends bless our lives! We Wish you a very Merry Christmas! Hope the holidays and New Year bring joy and happiness your way.

Two Years

I made this for his Birthday this year! Camden LOVES Elmo!!!!
How has two years gone by since I had Camden! Even still, somedays I wake up and can't believe I have three. Camden is such a joy to our family! He is still determined as ever and a little stubborn guy but I adore him! He is truly Obsessed with sports. He sleeps with a football. It's so funny. Tonight at his birthday dinner, he ran to the bar to watch football. He'll sit and watch soccer and know exactly what's going on and yell when they almost score, ask to watch a basketball game on tv. He cracks me up! His is saying so many more words these days and I love hearing each new one. I keep trying to get him to say his name and he won't do it. He just smirks and says, "no." He is climbing on everything and it's not uncommon to see him eating lunch in indian style on top of the table. He throws everything he can, can still drop kick a ball, has a major sweet tooth and I need to nip that right away. I can't keep him out of the kitchen because he's constantly eating and yet, he's still little. He adores Mazie and holds her all the time. He thinks he has to do everything Jace does and asks all day, where's Jace?...at school...the same routine every day. The boys love playing together and fighting of course. Thus the nature of brothers. But we love our boys and now our sweet little girl makes a perfect little family. :) Still waiting on the job...i imagine hope and pray we'll know more in 4 weeks from now. Happy Birthday Camden! It snowed today just like the day you were born. We love you!

Updates

I suppose it's time for a real post. It's 915 and yes I should probably go to bed but I haven't blogged in a while, and after today, I really need it!! Just one of those days. The boys are sick again and it's fall break...so we've been stuck in the house. GOING CRAZY!!! Heath had to work late tonight too. Things have been so crazy and as you can tell, with a newborn, there's never a dull moment. It's funny, I can remember thinking before i had Mazie while Camden was taking his nap and Jace at school, I actually had a moment to myself and thought "sure, I can do another baby." Some days I wonder what I was thinking. But seriously as these boys wrestle and fight and scream and run around like crazy, I feel so lucky to snuggle with my little princess. She is a joy to have around and when she smiles and coos, it warms my heart. In fact, I find my mouth hurting from smiling so much.

Yet, I have to be honest, I still feel completely exhausted with no sleep at night, cry here and there for no reason, have small little outbursts because my house can never stay in order,  the kids can't keep their hands to themselves, and Heath still can't find a job. I hate to complain because I know we are so blessed. And know plenty of couples who would love to have a busy life with kids along with the good and the bad they bring.

My friend Wendy came by tonight for a sec to pick something up (she works full time), and honestly I wanted to switch places with her so I could just go to an office, sit in a cubical and do a job where I know what the outcome will be. With kids, anything can happen. I suppose that's what keeps things interesting though.

So, enough of that. Heath is graduating in December and we've been on the job hunt for months now! We actually haven't gone a couple weeks without applying to a new job. And lately, we've been applying to them once a week atleast. I know things will work out, they always do, but I am a planner and yet again, I am found in the position of having no idea where we'll be in a couple months. The most important thing to us is making sure Jace is in a good school district but I have no control over where we get a job. I have faith in the future but man, I wish I would know by now. We both want to move out of this condo so bad bc we are bursting at the seems. So we are praying and praying and fasting that we can go where the Lord needs us to be. It's funny I say, sure I'll go wherever, but when push comes to shove, I don't want to be far from family. Yet, I will go.

Jace started kindergarten and is LOVING it! He takes the bus all by himself. Every time he drives off, I can't believe i have a kid old enough to ride the bus. But it's a great set up right outside our door so the convenience is heaven sent. Camden turns two years old in a couple weeks. And I can't believe that either. He is talking a lot more and talking back too. I suppose that's the joy of having an older sibling to teach you bad manners. That stinker! He is stubborn and determined but so loving when he wants. He climbs every where and gets into everything. But he ADORES his sister. He has to hold her all the time. I hope they are good friends when they are older. :)

I need to post some family pictures we took. I will soon. The colors have changed it was a beautiful fall but now the leaves are nearly gone and winter is peaking its head around the corner. I'm not sure how I feel about having snow again. Worried about more winter sickness and colds and flus. I might get my flu shot for the first time this year. Any thoughts? So debatable.

Well time to go to sleep for a couple hours. I hope to stay afloat these next couple days. Mazie is stirring as I write and my feet are getting cold as it's in the 20s tonight. sleep tight.

Mazie Jaelyn Reed

Here she is! Our sweet Mazie girl was born on August 26th at 10:02 a.m.  She was 5 lbs 11 oz. She was 17 inches long. (We think the hospital measured wrong bc she's already 19 inches) :) She was born c-sec so no surprises or labor. I have to have all my babies that way. I hate the surgery but I feel so blessed to have a healthy baby girl! We love her and the boys absolutely adore her! We named her after Heath's grandma, who was his best friend, and her middle name after my mom (Lynn). So much has happened since then that I can't update everything so I thought I'd just post a ton of pictures!

How does your garden grow???

Here's the beginning of the charity garden I've been helping out with! What started out as a small service project has turned into months of enjoyment and service opportunities! These were taken in June and I already need to post more from July because it's grown SOOOO much. The kids have loved helping out too!!!!
