My First 98

A couple weeks ago, it was a rainy Friday afternoon and we decided to take Jace bowling for the first time! We were lucky enough to have Daddy home from work and school so we took advantage of it! We had a great time! I certainly didn't bowl or I would have probably fallen down the isle with the ball. Jace loved watching the pins go up and down and having the ball magically reappear for him. He didn't do too shabby! When he got his first strike, a couple rows next to us all cheered for him. he ATE up the attention! Here's to more fun family time!

Church Stake Fair

This last weekend, we all went to the annual Stake Church Fair. It was crazy how many people were there! They had a dunk tank, bouncer, games, cake walk, cotton candy, homemade bread, pies, etc... Jace had his fill of cupcakes, popcorn, hot dogs, games, and of course, plenty of dancing! There was a DJ and they invited the fire dept. (Jace's favorite part) I swear I'm there--I'm just never in any pictures. Heath was busy cooking 1500 hot dogs with the Elder's Quorum group that night while I was chasing Jace around. Needless to say, I should've brought a stroller. All in all, we had a good time!

The highlight of the evening: Watching Jace play air guitar on the stage
The bummer of the evening: Stood in line for 15 minutes for cotton candy but they ran out just when we got to the front. :(

Homemade Pretzels

Last week, Liz and Addie and I got together with our kids and Liz came up with a cute idea to get them learning and cooking. :) They each had their own bowl to measure and mix in the ingredients and then roll out the dough and make twisty pretzels. They had a blast! It was a perfect project because it didn't take long and everyone knows how long kids attention spans are!

Baby Boy Update

So, I finally had my doctor's appt. up here in Colorado! Everything went great and I'm really happy with the office, nurses and the doctor. I was so excited to see the baby in 3D - I never had that with Jace and this office does all their ultrasounds that way. And they gave me a DVD of it all! We already watched it and Jace especially loved watching it! He is getting so excited for the baby too.

- The baby weighs 3 lbs 7 ounces right now
- I could see hair on his head, which was incredible!
- He has long femers and big feet (what a surprise) Looks like we have another tall one :)
- I loved seeing his cute little button nose, tiny little fingers and toes
- I'm right on track with weight and amniotic fluid and such..all that medical stuff

I am so thrilled everything looks great and can't wait for our new addition! No, we still have not decided on a name. We just can't seem to pick one without seeing him. I'll be having him in about 8 weeks!

(Someday I'll get a scanner and be able to upload these with amazing quality)

Lunch Anyone?

Last week we got to watch Joey Kelly! We had a great time and they loved playing kitchen. I guess this gives Jace a good excuse to cook. They set the table and food out for their families. (I guess Jace gets that from mommy-talking on the phone while doing other things.) I told him we should probably talk on the phone after our guests leave. They both talked to their imaginary friends on it. I love kids imaginations! Jace and Joey seem like they'll be good friends. They play great together!

Happy Labor Day

Looks like Brooke slept through it all!

Joey crawled up and sat right next to Jace. They are so cute!!

I know I'm a week late, but I now have a chance to update! For Labor Day, we were invited by a family in our ward, the Georges, to Winter Park --- up in the mountains of Colorado. We had a GREAT time. We were able to spend some time with some new couples in the ward and some great families. We ate the most yummy bbq, with a marinade that it is to die for, played in the stream, took a nature hike (i'm pretty sure I instigated when we turned around considering being with child), played games, and just hung out. The day was beautiful--we couldn't have asked for better weather. Someday Heath and I hope to have a cabin....we've both always loved being in the mountains. Jace LOVED it, of course. He got to play with his new friend, Joey and with the Scott family boys. He was content with kitchen toys, a choo choo train track and of course being outside :) We feel so blessed to have been invited and to meet new people and friends. Thank you to everyone that's helped us feel so welcomed and loved.
