It's a Hard Knock Life

I'm spent!! And poor little Jace has been through a lot this week! This has been one of the most taxing weeks so far for me in mommyhood. Just in the last couple days, Jace has managed to put a breath mint up his nose, fall off the couch and land a goose egg in the middle of his forehead, fall down the stairs and scratch his face, and yes, to top it all off....tonight he slipped in the tub and split open his lip! It's only Wednesday! I seriously am tempted to just make him sit on the couch and not move for the next couple days because there's a dark rain cloud over his head! Now, surprisingly enough I was right next to him when all of these things happened and I couldn't even prevent it! I think I just realized that even when you're there, you can't prevent bad things from happening. Plus, this whole week, we haven't seen Heath because of midterms and needless to say, I am exhausted and anxiously awaiting some better days. Whew...what a week...at least conference is this weekend and I can get recharged. :)

I know that Jace is a little older than Karsyn, but since she has learned to pull herself up to the couch and the bed and chairs, I can't tell you how many times she has bumped her little noggin, and I am also right there. I guess it's part of growing up, it is just as hard on the mommies as it is on the kids. I hope that is the end to his falls this week.

That IS a heck of a week, and all before Thursday?! I certainly hope it gets better quickly!

Stacey,

What a week! Your little guy is so tough...he must get it from you. My sister has this saying, "Some days just need to end." I hope you celebrate after mid-terms.

Oh Stacey...how crazy! I'm glad you were able to do some apron nighting then. It's so true what you said, we could be right there and they'll still manage a way to get hurt. I hope this weekend is better for you.

Stacey! What a rough week. Wish we could have seen Jace though. I bet he looked so cute with all his little bumps. Also, when can you make my blog as cute as yours? I need you to help me design a nice header. How do I do it? Love ya!
